I am hiding the "thanks!" comments because (while I do appreciate the sentiment, and admire the artists who left them) they contain no real intelligent dialogue about art, and in some ways simply seem like self advertisement. I have long since stopped leaving "Thanks for the fav!" on other people guestbooks, and instead mention something about why I liked their gallery, instead of, or in addition too my thank yous. It takes more work, but it is more considerate to the artist whose page you're visiting. It's Their Guestbook after all, not a PR platform for you or me
