ATC stands for Artist Trading Card...Artists make an artwork that is 2 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches (the standard baseball card size) and send them to each other by mail, or get together in person and trade them. Your drawings are beautiful, and I bet a lot of folks would want to trade with you. I mostly trade over at [link] I have traded with people from all over the world and have a pretty large collection by now! It's fun :) and a great way to get original artwork when you can't normally afford it ;)

What a great idea to do the planets in watercolor! I think I'll have to pull my watercolors out and attempt a space scene. I'm with ~alorinae though - how'd you get the black background? Was that the ink?

Thank you! Yes, the background is ink. I painted the planet first and then went around it with the ink and added little dots for stars with a white marker :) I'd love to see you do some space art! Go for it!

I like the red planet.. looks like a dangerous place to live, makes me wanna play Master of Orion!! How did you get a black background? Did you paint all that?? O_O looks like a lot of work - and space is indeed beautiful.

Thank you!! They are quite easy to paint actually.. Paint the planet first,, it's fun to experiment with colors...and then go around it with ink. them take a white marker and maike little dots of various sixe all over the place, and add a comet if you like! Each one took about a half an hour or a little more to make...they're quite small! 3.5x2.5 :)
